Tara Tancred

Implementation Research Lead

Tara is a social scientist and Senior Research Associate at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine with over 10 years’ experience of implementation research, particularly participatory action cycles and standards-based audits in sub-Saharan Africa. She has led large realist evaluations of complex, participatory public health interventions for improved maternal and newborn health. Tara will work across all PACTS sites and will provide support and training for the participatory action cycle and standards-based audit teams in implementation research methods. This will include oversight of all participatory research activities and development of implementation research training materials and resources, and coordination of data collection. She will lead the realist evaluation for the consortium and will contribute to the supervision of researchers and PhD students.
