Fred is a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London, London. He is an epidemiologist with expertise in spatial quantitative methods applied to non-communicable disease and global health, especially sickle cell disease. He has over 65 publications, many focused-on sickle cell disease, in highly cited peer-reviewed journal including the New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet and The Lancet Haematology. Fred will work across all sites and will be responsible for a work package on mapping and epidemiology. He will work closely with a dedicated postdoctoral researcher based in Abuja, Nigeria and will collaborate with an economist on costing aspects of the study. In addition, Fred will provide regular support and training in geolocation/mapping methods and data collection across all sites.
