Zambia Project Manager
Cynthia Phiri is a social scientist and the Project Manager for the PACTS project in Zambia with a background in clinical and community research. She specialises in qualitative research, research design formulation, and project management. She coordinates research and administrative activities on various sickle cell disease projects at the University Teaching Hospital-Children’s Hospital (UTHs-CH). Her responsibilities range from developing the SCD registry to overseeing follow-ups, newborn screening, SCD taskforce planning meetings, and engaging with communities and stakeholders. Cynthia will support PACTS by evaluating research effectiveness, budget management, and reporting. She will also facilitate staff training and ensure compliance with safeguarding guidelines.
