Bernard is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Health in Falk College, Syracuse University, USA, and the Director of the Centre for Science and Health Communication, Ghana. He is a pharmacist and journalist specialising in health communication through print/oral/social media. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications, policy briefs and public engagement resources. During PACTS Bernard is responsible for media content analysis, implementation and evaluation of health communication/public engagement interventions and public education including workshops and briefing materials for journalists and participatory action cycle steams, educational and advocacy materials for sickle cell disease patients and the public, and policy briefs and information/updates for policy makers.
